Feminist Bike Parade

The bicycle has historically been a catalyst for women's emancipation, breaking down social and sartorial constraints from the late 19th century onward. It offered unprecedented mobility, allowing women to escape the confines of the home, adopt more practical clothing, and free themselves from male dependence. Today, it remains a symbol of autonomy and a tool in the fight against sexism.
The fight for gender equality, the emancipation of women and all minorities has been part of the DNA of the Maison du Vélo since its inception. We organize cycling classes for women with the Sports Department of the City of Esch-sur-Alzette.
Feminist march on March 8th
Join the feminist march for a fairer society this March 8th. International Women's Day is a call to unite against violence, discrimination and precariousness, and to defend equal rights for all, regardless of sex or gender.
Feminism is a collective struggle against discrimination and oppression, for a society where everyone can live freely and safely. Let's make our voices heard, let's ride and march together for concrete and immediate change.
We will meet in Esch-sur-Alzette (Town Hall) at 12:00 to cycle together to the starting point of the feminist march, which will take place at Place de Paris, Luxembourg.
